TRAUMA SENSITIVE ASSAULT PREVENTION

The program consists of 12 weekly group sessions of ninety minutes each. The training phase takes place during the first half of each session. The client group is educated and trained in the state-of-the-art strategies and techniques of assault prevention. The second half of each session is the process and integration phase, during which the clients sit down with the therapist and the trainer and discuss their thoughts and feelings from the training phase, as well as their progress toward empowerment and the ability to protect themselves.
